Gaim G360 Putter Big Hit for Father's Day

Knoxville,TN - Jun 08, 2006 Gaim Golf reports that its G360 putter has had an exceptional spring sales season with sales increasing dramatically over last year. No place is this more evident than in The Villages golf retirement community in Florida. Chris Plummer, Custom Club Shop Manager and Head Club Fitter at The Villages states that "from the moment we started to stock them in our pro shops the feedback and sales have been tremendous, it seems as if I have to reorder every other week."

"Twenty golf courses are found within The Villages communities and eight of those are championship courses, so they take their golf very seriously there," according to Gary Patterson, co-owner of Gaim Golf. "The G360 is a natural for the serious senior golfer because it is engineered to get their ball in and out of the hole", added Patterson. Plummer agrees, "At our last demo day, I had many customers come up to me saying they couldn't believe how many putts they were making with the Gaim putter. I truly believe it's one of the best and easiest alignment systems on the market, and being that our consumer base is pretty much all senior golfers they love the fact that they can pick the ball up with it and save their back!"

Although sales have been brisk all spring, Gaim has noticed an increase in sales that they attribute to Father's Day and graduation. Phone-in orders have ramped up recently as have web site sales, according to Patterson, with most of the sales references claiming "word-of-mouth advertising" stemming from grass roots sales channels. "We have noticed increased sales from our retailers, like The Villages, due to the G360 being such a natural gift idea. Mother's Day was big and now Father's Day looks to also be a big season for Gaim. "Some golfers like the fact that it makes them a better putter while others enjoy the way it picks up the ball. Either way, it has proven to be a very nice gift for golfers of any age," said Patterson.

G360 Receives Top Ratings from Golf Illustrated Readers

Knoxville, TN (November 29, 2005) - The GAIM Golf G360 putter continues to add accolades to its increasing collection. Golf Illustrated's 2005 Readers' Testing Program resulted in the G360 putter receiving an average score of 9.6 out of 10, with over 60 percent of the readers rating it a perfect 10. Golf Illustrated subscribers tested the G360 and provided their testimonies to the magazine.

"The G360 is an excellent putter for the price and I felt very confident knowing I was aligned properly," commented readers' poll participant Glenn Bowers. "I almost want to keep it a secret from my fellow competitors! Distance control was phenomenal and it has a very generous sweet spot and great feel."

Not only are people pleased with the G360, which earlier this year was ranked the #1 putter by GolfTest USA, but many are having success with it as well. Craig Bush used the G360 to win a $150,000 golf villa during the 22nd annual PGA Tour Superstore World Amateur Handicap Championship in Myrtle Beach, SC.

"The findings of this independent Readers' Testing Program show why the G360 was an editor's pick for 'The Best Kept Secret Baggy Award', just awarded to GAIM Golf by Golf Illustrated," said Gary Patterson, GAIM Golf co-owner. "Scoring so highly among a variety of players reinforces the fact that the G360 is loved by everyone, average golfers to pro golfers. A number of Champions Tour players putted with it at the 2005 ACE Group Classic."

And the Best Kept Secret Baggy Baggy Award Goes to... GAIM Golf's G360 Putter

Knoxville, TN (October 12, 2005) - Editors at Golf Illustrated chose the G360 Putter as their putter of choice for the "Best Kept Secret" award for the first annual Golf Illustrated Baggy Awards. This category represents golf equipment that is flying under the radar and is worthy of being discovered. With the holiday season approaching, the Baggy Awards is perfect to serve as the holiday gift guide for 2005.

"It is an honor to be a Golf Illustrated Baggy Award winner," said Gary Patterson GAIM Golf co-owner. "The G360 putter is creating a buzz at the grass roots level. We knew it was a solid putter and as we continue to receive awards like this, it is becoming clear that others are discovering how good it is, too. Our goal, of course, is to not be a secret much longer."

The Baggy Awards consist of four categories: Best Bet Baggy representing the best of the big name brands, Best New Technology Baggy representing companies that are pushing the envelope of design and technology, Best Value Baggy representing what Golf Illustrated considers the best value for your dollar and of course the Best Kept Secret Baggy.

"The G360 is truly a putter that people need to experience. We have created a superior putter with a special patented alignment system that provides excellent results on the green for all golfers," stated Patterson. "We believe the G360 putter will be a top runner in the Best Bet Baggy category next year."

New GAIM Golf Putter Keeps You Golfing Longer

Knoxville, TN (September 1, 2005) - The new G360 putter from GAIM Golf is designed with a center void that will pick up the golf ball by simply placing the club over the ball. This design helps alleviate some of the strain that golfers put on their backs just by bending over to pick up the ball 18 times or more per round.

"Golf is tough on spines - picking up golf balls causes forward flexion of the back which moves the disc toward the spinal nerve, potentially causing pain. GAIM lets you bend forward 18 less times every round. That means less stress on the discs and less pain," according to Chiropractic Orthopedist Dr. Don Wegener.

Along with the chiropractic benefit, the center void in the G360 also provides stability at impact generating a bigger sweet spot and a 60% top weighted face that makes a higher center of gravity which reduces skid and promotes forward roll.

The putter is gaining accolades from respected names such as 10-time PGA winner Mark McCumber who has played the G360 in every PGA Tour and Champions Tour events he's played thus far this year, Dr. Craig Farnsworth (known as the "Putt Doctor" who coaches the top names in golf and other elite athletes) and LPGA's Jackie Gallagher-Smith. It was also judged a top performer in two independent tests conducted by GolfTest USA, earning the putter the coveted Seal of Excellence award which indicates a golf product that has been judged to be of superior quality, value and performance. Introduced at the January 2005 PGA Merchandise Show, the G360 is already played on the PGA Tour, The Champions Tour, The LPGA Tour, The Nationwide Tour and The Canadian Tour.

Got GAIM? Novel putter grabs golf ball, attention

Date: May 10, 2005

Many golfers remember the green rubber suction cup that slipped over the butt end of a putter. In fact, this little device is still sold.

After a player holes out a putt, retrieving the ball is as simple as doing a sword dance with the hole. No bending over.

Over the years, several putters were designed to address this same function: Stick the putter head into the cup, let the club do the work. Some worked well, some didn't.

Now, however, the new GAIM putter is the best at grabbing the ball from the hole. This putter really does the job, even at an angle. There is no need to hold the putter straight up and down, or, in the case of the green rubber suction cup, to reverse the putter so that the grip end goes into the hole.

If you've got GAIM - a word play on "game," in case there was any question - you've also got a no-bend-over putter that will become a conversation piece on the golf course.

This is good news for bad backs and for clubhouse conversation, but it obscures the reality that the GAIM putter is an innovative club that just might help a golfer sink more putts.

For starters, the putter head fits easily into a cup. It snares the ball every time, and releasing the ball is a snap.

OK, I'm glad we've got that out of the way. What I really like about this putter is its ease of customization. For any golfer who wants a custom putter to fit his or her game, this is a new alternative.

The clubhead is made of a tungsten composite. About 66 percent of the weight in the head comes from tungsten, which is a heavy material used in the sole of many metalwood heads to lower the center of gravity.

Because the percentage of tungsten can be altered, so can the weight of the putter head. Adding up to 500 grams or more for a long putter or belly putter is no problem.

Custom lengths, lies and lofts are available. The standard loft of the milled face is 3.5 degrees, and the standard lie varies from 70 to 72 degrees depending on the model.

Golfers also can choose from many shaft bends. This allows for a wide variety of offset and non-offset models.

I was introduced to the GAIM putter in La Quinta, Calif., by eye specialist Dr. Craig Farnsworth, who has worked extensively with Nick Faldo and several other touring pros.

"This is the best alignment system I've ever seen," Farnsworth said, introducing a new element to the GAIM discussion. "Because alignment is such a huge issue in putting, I really like this putter."

The alignment scheme features white lines on the black head. Some of the lines are straight, others are in a horseshoe shape.

GAIM, headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn., is owned by Gary Patterson, John Macht and Vince Henry. It was Henry, a former owner of a construction company, who spent two years perfecting the design.

"Because the clubhead is made of one material, there are no dissimilar materials," Henry said. "We get what we are calling a pure energy transfer. The ball rolls very, very smoothly."

Every putter company in the universe talks about putts that don't bounce and bump, so I long ago stopped listening and implemented the Jim Test: If I can make putts, it's a great putter.

There is no argument that some putters perform better on slow greens, while others work better on fast greens. My advice to all golfers is to choose a putter that is suited to the greens they play.

Anyway, Henry says he placed a lot of weight in the top of the putter head, helping create a love affair between golf balls and the grass on which they roll.

"We are doing much better than we expected," Henry said. "We couldn't even dream we would experience something like this. We're getting into Fantasyland.

"We waited almost three years for something to go wrong. We waited for one disaster or another, and it never happened. People love this putter."

A standard GAIM putter has a suggested retail price of $149.95. Long and belly models are $179. Add $20 for a custom putter.

If you've got GAIM, well, you've got an innovative putter. No more green suction cup.
