Engineering is the science of understanding the laws that govern the natural world around us. Engineers formulate theories and collect real world data to either substantiate or refute those theories. These theories gradually evolve into a set of laws that can be used to accurately explain the real world observations. These laws can then be used to make predictions about future events.
